Wavelets-based techniques for scanning the root-mean-squared (RMS) responding passive matrix displays are reviewed. Principle of line-by-line and multi-line implementation of these techniques is discussed. Analysis of the wavelets based techniques that are useful to display a large number of gray shades without flicker is presented in this paper.en
