The title compound propyl 3-(4-acetoxyphenyl) acrylate is synthesized and the structure was confirmed by X-ray diffraction. X-ray diffraction study reveals that the compound crystallizes in the triclinic crystal system in space group P-1 with cell parameters a= 7.798 (10) Å, b= 8.800 (11) Å, c= 10.731 (13) Å, α = 92.001 (19)ᵒ, β= 91.45 (3)ᵒ, γ= 107.52 (2)ᵒ, Z=2 and V=701.3 (15) Å3. The molecule exhibits intramolecular hydrogen bonds of the type C–H...O which can account for the stability of the molecule.en_US
