Abstract: | In this manuscript, we discuss some recent and ongoing work on investigating the use of the superposition principle in interference experiments. We find that the naive application of the superposition principle needs to be corrected, especially in slit-based interference experiments, where our recent work has shown that the correction term is non-negligible and in fact measurable in an experimental scenario. |
