Restricted Access. Proceedings of the conference held 8-12 December 2008, at National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA), TIFR, Pune, India. Edited by D. J. Saikia, D. A. Green, Y. Gupta, and T. Venturi. San Francisco: Astronomical Society of the Pacific.en
Intial results from an ongoing Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) H I survey of a sample of interacting galaxies are presented in this paper. Arp 086 and Arp 072, both of which are M51-like systems have been discussed here. We note the striking similarities in the H I distributions of these two systems with that of M51. Work is in progress to understand the extent of this similarity and possible reasons for it.en
