| Abstract: | The thermophysical properties of mixtures of hexanethiolate-capped gold nanoparticles and three types of discotic liquid crystals, investigated using polarizing optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and DC conductivity, indicate inclusion of gold nanoparticles into a matrix of triphenylene-based discotic liquid crystals. |
