A laser interferometer experiment that allows a continuous, unbroken measurement of the geometric phase associated with closed circuits on the Poincaré sphere up to arbitrary magnitudes, as opposed to modulo 2π, is described. The magnitude and the sign of the phase change are both found to agree with theory.en
