Abstract: R & D activities are mainly on indigenisation of components for CRT displays, on optimisation of the performance of different types of LCDs, on active addressing schemes for LCDs and to some extent on electrochromic and electroluminescent devices. Manufacturing is confined to CRTS, LCDs and LEDs. There is a good potential for an expansion of display related activities.
