dc.description.abstractOptical diffraction from Fibonacci structures has been studied. We find that in a lattice with absorbing elements it is asymmetric. In the diffraction from a phase grating, intense orders cannot always be indexed with a successive pair of Fibonacci numbers. Bragg reflection spectra of multilayers depend on sample thickness and absorption and are different for isomorphic multilayers.en
