Although scattering is widespread in radio-astronomy, there has been little investigation of the 'speckle' phenomenon found in optical scattering. Using the VLA, the existence of speckles have been demonstrated in interplanetary scintillation scattering disks when observed with high temporal and angular resolution. Such speckles lead to a number of conceptual and practical difficulties in schemes for the correction of radio-astronomical seeing. These various aspects of radio-speckles are discussed and some examples drawn from the VLA IPS observations are shown.en
