| Abstract: | A comparative study is made of the role of the lateral substituent on the reentrant nematic phase of some phenyl benzoyloxybenzoates and cinnamoyloxybenzoates. The lateral substituent, depending on its location, seems to have varying degrees of influence on the reentrant nematic phase. |
