dc.description.abstractA W-band (75-110 GHz) Gunn oscillator realized with a resonant cap configuration in a circular waveguide is described. Output powers of more than 10 dBm and a mechnical tuning range of 8 GHz are obtained with the new ascilltor mount over the frequeucy range 75-90 GHz. These results compare favorably with tbose obtained with the conventional rectangular waveguide circuits. Simplicity of construction and accurate prediction of oscillation frequency are the two main advantages of the new design.en
