Abstract

The proceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences came to a climax when Sr. C. V. Raman, was the recipient of a tube of an exstremely rare kind of mercury, which he had been very anxious to acquire in order to carry on futher experiments on what is known as the "Raman Effect"
