High frequency sound waves: Limit of quickest vibration - Sir C.V. Raman's new discovery

Abstract

Presiding over a joint meeting of seven scientists association at Bangalore, Sir C.V. Raman announced that his experimental work with Mr. Neelakanta Iyer had succeeded in demonstrating the existence in crystalline solids of sound waves having a frequency measured in millions and millions of vibrations per socond.
