Abstract

The press communique issued by the Council of the Indian Institute of Science embodying the decisions which were unanimously reached at the meeting on July 19. C V Raman relinquished the post of Director and accepted the Council's offer to remain as Professor of Physics. Rao Bahadur Venkateshachar appointed as acting Director until a new Director is appointed
