Abstract

Report on an emergency meeting of the Governing Council of the Indian Institute of Science with C T C Plowden presiding. The agenda was the selection of a candidate for the post of Registrar. The Governing Council while not making a choice expressed its preference in favour of Mr. H R Beckett being appointed Registrar.
