Abstract

Report on the 15th Annual session of the Indian Academy of Sciences at Bombay. Distinguished scientists from England, France, Sweden and America including Nobel Laureate Dr. Irene Joliot-Curie, daughter of Madame Curie, Prof. Fredric Joliot, the French physicist and French High Commissioner for Atomic Energy, Prof. J. D. Bernal (London), Prof. McBain (America) and Prof. Rydbeck (Sweden) were present when the 15th session of the Indian Academy of Sciences was inaugurated at Bombay on December 29, 1949.
