| Abstract: | Report on Sir C. V. Raman's inaugural address at the Science Society of the Lawrence Public School, Lovedale , Ootacamund. Sir Raman said that all scientific research and endeavour in India should be directed towards the basic necessaries of the people. He emphasised the need for well-trained and highly qualified scientists in order to attain this objective. |
