| dc.description.abstract | Intial results from an ongoing Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) H I survey of a sample of interacting galaxies are presented in this paper. Arp 086 and Arp 072, both of which are M51-like systems have been discussed here. We note the striking similarities in the H I distributions of these two systems with that of M51. Work is in progress to understand the extent of this similarity and possible reasons for it. | en |
