Abstract: Inaugurating the second annual meeting of the Indian Academy of Sciences at Bangalore, Sir C.V. Raman, President of the Academy, referred to the large number of publications on science subjects which the Academy had brought out, and added that these publications had received the attention of specialists all over the world. He said that the Academy was fully justifying itself.
