Abstract: Self-assembly is the process of arrangement of objects in an orderly fashion driven by noncovalent interactions(1). The non-covalent interactions are generally comprised of dipolar quadrupolar interactions, van der Waals forces, and hydrogen bond, etc; This self-assembly process is omnipresent at all scales ranging from subatomic particles to macromolecules(2). The degree of order in a system is the result of the balance of two thermodynamic properties i.e entropy and free energy. Molecules in any condensed phase generally possess two types of orders (3). • Positional order: Positional order may be defined as the tendency of molecules to occupy fixed positions. It gives regular distances between molecules. • Orientational order: It may be defined as the tendency of molecules to orient in a particular direction. This means that groups of molecules lie in the same direction
