Abstract: Mr. C. Rajagopalachariar, Premier of Madras welcopmed the delegates at the fourth annual session of the Indian Academy of Sciences at the Medical College Hall, Madras. He paid tributes to Sir C.V. Raman on his 50th year. A summary of C.V. Raman's reply is also given.
