Abstract: Soft matter, characterized by complexity and flexibility, refers to the broad range of condensed matter systems. Due to weak interactions between the constituents of soft materials, they show viscoelastic behavior. The different properties of these soft matter systems are very sensitive to the concentration, temperature, presence of additives and other physical properties. In this thesis, we perform dynamic light scattering and rheological experiments to investigate the structure, dynamics and the mechanical properties of some aqueous soft matter systems including micellar copolymer solutions, biopolymer gels and concentrated colloidal suspensions.
