Abstract:	Editorial article which appeared in the "Nature" journal dated 4th July on the findings of the Irvine Committee. It notes that while the issue of the report is awaited with much interest, it is untimely that 'Science and Culture' should publish a severely critical article on the present administration of the institute. Anyone cognisant of the large volume of original work which has issued from the institute cannot doubt that it has more than justified the hope of its founder, Mr. Tata.
