Abstract:	Report on findings of the Irvine Committee: Relations between Director and staff acute and strained. Atmosphere of insecurity and apprehension created. CV Raman has submitted a lenthy memorandum to the Viceroy controverting many expressions of opinion and the direct findings of the Committee and questoning the bonafides of the criticism levevelled against the administration of the Institute.
