Abstract: This article posits a definition and theory for Information Literacy and " Library 2.0". It suggests the recent implications of Web 2.0 technology and also describes the changing traditional Library into “Library 2.0”, which is a application of Web 2.0 technology to Library and can make substantial transformation of present libraries. In this paper an effort has been made to prove Library 2.0 technology can be used to attain information literacy among Information seekers. Further this can bring more awareness in terms of interactive, collaborative, and multimedia web-based information seeking.
