| Abstract: | Diploma of membership of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences was awarded to Dr. C V Raman as a token of Czech appreciation of his outstanding contribution to Science. At the festive XVI general meeting last November held in Prague, the academy unanimously elected him as a full fledged member. The Czech ambassador to India, Dr. I. Rohal Illkiv handed over the diploma of membership of the academy to Dr. Raman at a special ceremony held at the Raman Research Institute at Bangalore. |
