Abstract: An appeal to discard blind religious beliefs and organise a systematic outlook to be infused in our modern thought was made by Mr. Kadidal Manjappa, Minister for Revenue and Public Works, Government of Mysore when he predided over the 42nd annual meeting of the Mythie Society, at the Dal Memorial Hall, Bangalore City. Sir C.V. Raman unveiled a portrait of Mr. S. Srikantaiya who has served the society for 25 years as honorary general secretary and treasurer and editor of the journal.
