| Abstract: | The International Lenin Peace Prize for 1956 was presented to Sir. C.V. Raman at the Kremlin by academician Dmitry Skobeltsin. In his speech during the ceremony Sir C.V. Raman said that he regarded the award primarily as recognition of India as a sincere champion of Peace. |
