Abstract: Report on the Irvine committee's recommendations namely - The inauguration of a fully-equipped department of chemical engineering and chemical technology. Publicity for research - encourage the authors to publish results of research work in science journals of great eminence and authority outside India and it also recommended that the Senate should be enlarged. Need for centralization of the chemical plant which is now distributed among several departments.
